How do ELAN 30s achieve photometric accuracy?
ELAN 30s is equipped with a static photometer which moves to take the reading of each well
In conventional ELISA readers, the plate moves across and the photometer stays stationary. During the movement of the plate, there is a possibility wherein the meniscus of the well may move due to the rapid movement of the plate causing a ripple effect, and leading to erroneous results.
In ELAN 30s the plate is moved towards the photometer position and is brought to a halt which allows time for the minibus to become stationary. The photometer then moves along the strip taking readings of each well, thus ensuring higher photometric
